1. Leadership

The Board of Trustees sits at the top of the university’s leadership pyramid. It is charged with developing academic planning and implementation strategies and determining the timeline for completion, oversight of persons or units responsible for implementing each strategy, and key measures. Each unit will report to the appropriate committee which will, in turn, make recommendations based on the university’s core strategies. Potential members of the Board of Trustees may include three types of individuals: 1) two high-ranking academics who may not have direct affiliations with the university, 2) one volunteer official from the Puntland Ministry of Education and Higher Education, and 3) two independent public policy experts.
